Terms of service

Tako automatically scans websites and apps for security issues, reports what it finds, and can monitor for new problems over time. Results are informational: no scanner catches everything, and a clean report is not a guarantee that your app is secure.

This one matters. You may only point Tako at websites, apps, and repositories that you own or are explicitly authorized to test. Scanning someone else's property without permission may be illegal, and doing it through Tako gets your account terminated.

Keep your password to yourself and your account details accurate. You're responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or abuse the service. You can request account deletion using the support address below; cancel any active subscription in the Stripe billing portal first.

Tako's outside-in scan is free. Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually until canceled. The checkout page shows the price and interval before payment, and the Stripe billing portal lets you update payment details or cancel. Paid access follows the subscription status Stripe reports to Tako.

Tako is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing).

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the product with an updated date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. Questions: support@trytako.me.
